Health and Guarantee of puppy:

Our working/show/breeding quality pups are sold with a guarantee to be free from serious infectious diseases, genetic, and congenital defects. If a puppy acquires a life-threatening infectious disease such as parvo within 48 hours after leaving Xtremebulldog’s, and the sickness can be traced to our kennel within a reasonable likelihood, we will cover the veterinary expenses up to the dollar amount paid for the dog. If the pup is treated immediately and completely after discovering the malady, yet dies anyway, Xtremebulldog’s will cover the vet bills as stated above and offer a replacement puppy of comparable value and the buyer's choice as soon as one becomes available. The buyer must have their puppy vet-checked within 48 hours of arrival.

Those genetic defects included under the replacement guarantee are crossed eyes, entropion or ectropion eyelids, hip dysplasia (defined as a failure of OFA or PennHip D.I. of greater than 0.65, certification required, x-ray done between the ages of 1 and 3 years of age), elbow dysplasia, hypothyroidism, generalized demodectic mange, deafness and congenital heart problems. Other problems will be dealt with as they arise, but our general policy is that if both our and your vets consider the defect to be serious and heritable, we will replace it. As many of the above problems can be caused or complicated by environmental conditions, we encourage owners to avoid highly strenuous activity with their dogs before the age of 10 months, as well as keep them in lean condition and on soft surfaces. If a problem develops anyway, Xtremebulldog’s request certification of spaying or neutering, and we will ship out a similar quality replacement pup of your choice as soon as one becomes available. Shipping and spaying/neutering costs are the responsibility of the owner, not Xtremebulldog’s. This guarantee is void if the dog has been bred, so please have your dog thoroughly examined and PennHip or OFA x-rayed prior to breeding.

 Temperament Development:

First, and most importantly, all puppies must be properly socialized. We only replace dogs for temperament if the dog is returned to us at the owner's expense, with registration papers, and intact (not spayed or neutered). As breeders, we retain the right to evaluate the dog's temperament and put it down, place it in a pet home of our choice, or re-sell it. A replacement pup of equal value will be sent to the owner, at the owner's expense, as soon as one becomes available. People may also choose to wait for a more suitable time for a replacement. If the owner decides the AB breed is not good for them, and does not want a replacement pup, they forfeit their investment. No cash refunds. Of course, we will always take back any dog we have bred, if the owner cannot keep it for any reason. Again, shipping would be at the owner's expense, we would owe nothing to the owner since it is a rescue situation, and we reserve the right to decide what to do with the dog.

 It is our opinion that temperament in American Bulldogs is largely determined by the genetic traits passed on to it by the parents. That is why we are firm believers in selective breeding for conformation and working ability. We want dogs that are protective in nature yet good around children, family, and friends. We feel that temperament and socialization are directly related to each other. In this regards, we spend a great deal of time socializing our puppies. Everyday the puppies experience human interaction and are put in different situations such as exposing them to different floor materials, varying noise levels, both with and without their littermates. We observe their actions and base further temperament assessment on their progress. It must be pointed out that Schutzhund training, agility training, obedience training, protection training, weight pulling training, therapy work training, and tracking training, etc. are just that - training. No dog can just walk on a field and do these things. They must be trained, and trained correctly. We can sell you a dog with a good potential to do these things, but it is up to you to develop this potential in your dog.

Other terms and agreements:

Xtremebulldogs MUST have first right of refusal.

Xtremebulldogs will receive two stud services back to Xtremebulldogs’ bitches if pup is sold as a breeding quality male. Xtremebulldogs will cover the breeding related cost and will not owe an additional stud fee. The owner of the dog will have no limitations to the breeding, and the chance of Xtemebulldogs using a given dog is slim, as all breeding/working quality males are sold in this manner.

If the owner trains  an Xtremebulldog and puts  a Schutzhund I or a French Rind 1 title or gets it trained and in service as a working police K-9 we will offer you a second pup for free. Also if you show the pup to an ABA , ABNA, NKC championship, or train it to a BST/WST or a French Ring Brevet we offer a 50% discount on another pup. We love to work our dogs and see what they can do so when others will take pride in working there dogs and do well we think they should be compensated in some way from us because you would be helping prove our produced dogs.

We at Xtremebulldogs raise our puppies in a home environment with plenty of love and attention. We expect you to do the same, if housing is a problem notify us as soon as possible. We will not sell to a home that wants to place our puppies on a chain or permanently in an outside kennel. American Bulldogs need to be very well socialized. The Buyer agrees to maintain the dog in a humane environment and properly train and care for it. Specifically the dog will be properly licensed and Inoculated against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian. The dog will not be allowed to roam and will be socialized and obedience trained appropriately.

 I have read and fully understand the information about Xtremebulldog’s Guarantee offered, and agree to the above terms and responsibilities. I will be a responsible dog owner of the American Bulldog breed.
